WHAT OUR CLIENTS HAVE TO SAY:

“From a Resident Life perspective it ties into everything we do. We are always looking for ways to incorporate diversity and multiculturalism, especially when talking about tough issues like Stereotypes.”

“This show should be at all colleges and universities”

Merrimack College
Sally Bertolino
Assistant Director of Residence Life

“Karith was intelligent, compassionate, well-organized, funny, and comfortable interacting with audience ... After the presentation was over students stayed about 45 minutes to 1 hour to interact with Karith to ask questions (our students never do that, they are generally racing for the door after such discussions).”

“I highly recommend Stereotyped 101 to any campus interested in opening up students, faculty, and staff to dialoguing about difference.”

CSU Bakersfield
Crystal Becks
Coordinator for Campus Diversity Programming and Director of Student Housing

“Karith did such an amazing job bringing joy and laughter to so many people who have been front row to the pain and suffering of the illness of substance use disorders while driving home a powerful and positive message to all.”

Access Counseling Group
Irene Little
CEO of Access Counseling Group

“How you communicated with them and were able to broach difficult, yet important, issues about diversity and reputation in a non-threatening and straightforward manner.”

Stanford Graduate School of Business

“I found Stereotyped101 to be both a hilarious and moving presentation that was the perfect mix of humor and seriousness.”

“Their performance had students laughing uncontrollably and at other times moved to tears because of the heart wrenching stories being told.”

“If anyone on a college campus is looking for a great performance that will touch the lives of their students then I highly recommend booking Stereotyped 101!”

Bridgewater State University

“Feedback from our audience, women ranging from college interns to heads of corporations, has been overwhelmingly positive.”

“Your style, wit, intelligence, and charm was exactly what the doctor ordered.”

“Her willingness to ‘go to extra mile’ to ensure that the girls had a rewarding experience and to guarantee that the conference would be a success was invaluable.”

Jennings County Community Foundation R.E.A.C.H. Conference
Barb Shaw
Executive Director

“You were able to talk about race, gender, sex, weight loss, religion, parenting, dealing with parents, etc, to a room with a mix of races, religions, sexual orientations, not to mention various weights and sizes.”

Ohr HaTorah Synagogue
Rabbi Modecai Finley,Ph.D.

“She is a gifted comedienne, talented speaker, and compelling advocate for diversity.”

“Karith’s unique blend of comedy and challenge serves as one of her strongest qualities to me. She gets the class laughing and then in the moment of humor, she drops a pearl of human interaction, which crosses all the lines of stereotype.”

“We certainly hope to have her return in the future; our students scored her a 4.52 on a 5 point scale. This was the highest of any speaker we welcomed and our students have pretty high standards for guest lecturers.”

“Without hesitation I recommend Karith Foster to other colleges and universities looking for an innovative and effective way to launch the touchy conversations of stereotype. Her approach would work effectively for undergrads as well as graduate students. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about her work here at Stanford.”

Stanford University
JD Schramm, Ed.D.

“We invited Karith for our Diversity Coalition’s Kick-Off Week. We chose [Stereotyped 101] to help introduce the coalition to campus because of its unique approach of using humor to foster dialogue on respect and equality for human differences.”

“Her program was not only entertaining but educational. It was thought provoking and challenged participants to evaluate their behaviors and beliefs about difference. The material was well-received by students, faculty and staff alike.”

Stephens College
Yvonne Chamberlain
Director of Leadership and Diversity

"I attended Stereotyped 101. Refreshing. Entertaining. I would definitely attend another presentation on other topics by Karith."

Jennifer Flippin, Reporter
East Carolina University

"Karith Foster is my nominee for “Presenter of the Year”! Karith spoke to a packed room of moderately disgruntled college students. The room was hot and they were really only interested in the pizza being given out at the end of her presentation on, “Diversity”; a topic which is very often perceived as boring. Within seconds Karith had them fully engaged. Her sense of humor captured the greatest critics. Through her humor a very delicate, often painful topic was delivered with dignity, class and laughter.  Karith leaves the stage with a strong message of hope that everyone should hear."

Gail H. Murphy
Campus Director
Florida SouthWestern State College

"I believe any person would benefit from her talk, no matter their age, gender, race, socioeconomic status, education level or political beliefs. However, I think this topic is particularly beneficial for college students, faculty and administrators. College administrators and faculty are responsible for cultivating an environment in which students grow in many ways, including thought. However, our college campuses currently preach diversity of every kind - except diversity of thought. This talk is important for students who deal with suppression of free speech on a daily basis, but also for administrators and faculty who are the ones responsible for constructing the sheltered culture in which we live.

I had a lot of takeaways from Karith’s presentation. She’s brilliant and hilarious. It’s particularly interesting how she has used her platform to promote free speech, when many in the industry prefer to either stay silent (at best) or actively oppose free speech (at worst.) That’s not to say she’s the only one, but she’s certainly one of a select few who are strong and brave enough to go against the grain. One takeaway is that her use of humor to promote free speech is one of the best ways to tackle the issue, because oftentimes comedy allows us to talk about difficult topics that we otherwise would not.

Karith was a pleasure to work with. We had no issues getting everything set up and running.

I thought Karith’s speech was a great experience. I learned a lot, and I know that the others in attendance did, too. I wish that every person could hear this talk, but especially everyone who attends college or works on a college campus. Her knowledge on so many issues and her comedic presence affords her the unique opportunity to be an agent of true change in the way that our generation thinks about free speech."

Thank you,
Jonathan Pickell

The South Dakota Safety Council recently invited Karith to be a keynote speaker at our 26th Annual Safety & Health Conference in Sioux Falls on October 3, 2018.  Our attendee feedback strongly showed they truly enjoyed and appreciated hearing from Karith on her Stereotyped 101 presentation.  Diversity, inclusion, harassment and other tough topics are never a comfortable discussion to have, and oftentimes difficult to understand, in the workplace and beyond. But Karith put it into perspective and showed how individuals can have healthy discussions and be understanding of others without it being a confrontational or uncomfortable situation. Karith’s use of humor was a great way for attendees to learn about and develop strategies to deal with these topics.  I am already on the lookout for other opportunities to bring Karith back as a speaker for our organization.  I would highly recommend Karith for your next conference, meeting or event.     – Janie Ritter, Executive Director, South Dakota Safety Council
